The history of Fisher's Tale (continued):
After much prayer and contemplation the band carried on, with Darren Cordial now on drums, Abbie
Downer on lead vocals and Nathanael Stock on rhythm guitar. Add in to the mix Peter Gaston on
keyboards in August 2001, and Fisher's Tale were now a six-piece! In 2003, Fisher's Tale recorded
their
third album Boundless, with guest musician Anna Ryder on cello. Later that year Simeon Kay
joined as
bass guitarist, and founding member David Fenton resigned.
In 2005, the band demonstrated its ongoing musical development with the release of their fourth
album Different Horizon, Simeon Kay having arrived on bass. Fisher's Tale have played infrequently
across the
country throughout this period, getting involved in some larger witness projects as well as
playing
smaller
gigs. Following a sabbatical in 2006, Fisher's Tale resumed playing to audiences
around the
UK. Their most recent performance was an open air concert at Whitsun 2009, when they
announced the
next album project, and played some of the new material. This exciting fifth album,
United Song, is
currently in preparation, due for release in June 2010. God willing, the group have a
busy and fruitful time ahead!
